Racial issues emerge at assembly
On the afternoon of Feb. 13, Wauwatosa East students filed into the auditorium. Little did many of them know, the speakers they were about to hear would challenge their beliefs. “It helped people realize that we do have racial discrimination at East,” freshman Missy Heck said. Freshman Moniqueka Turner agreed with Heck.
