Grant brings rock wall, ropes course
Progress (PEP) grant continues to improve the Wauwatosa School District’s fitness program. It will next provide for an indoor ropes course and climbing wall in the coming school year. The grant awarded in 2006 funded the new fitness center, including more treadmills and other cardiovascular fitness machines. The grant supplied the district with $825,000. Most of the grant was used for the high schools. It also provided for heart rate monitors that are used in conjunction with the Tri-Fit Fitness Assessment System.
