Players to present ‘The Foreigner’
The Wauwatosa East High School Players have always been known for their ability to entertain on stage.
However, for the play “The Foreigner,” “there are always more laughs” backstage, senior Laura Urban said.
Indeed, with only seven main characters and four extras (a relatively small cast by East theater standards), “everyone gets really close,” junior Brad Halverson said.

It is no secret that Wauwatosa East High School could be more eco-friendly. To combat this situation, sopho-more Elisa Shapson and junior Alyssa Koebel created the new Green Club.
“I thought it was just ridiculous how nobody even seemed to care about environmental cleanliness in this school,” Shapson said. “It was just sad.”

Many students think that advanced placement art classes are in Wauwatosa East High School’s curriculum to help students get into art schools.
However, according to AP art teacher Kelly Fredrick, the “number one goal is to have students leave with a portfolio they feel proud of.”
According to students, this goal will be met by the end of the year.

Each year around February, all (save for seniors) Wauwatosa East High School students shuffle into the computer labs to report which classes they would like to take in the upcoming year.
Currently, along with the basic classes, there are a growing number of options for third and fourth year students to become more directly involved in the work force. The Career Connections Co-op Program holds a great opportunity for those who are willing to put in the effort.
